Liquid-to-gas hydrogen refueling stations

Our Liquid-to-gas hydrogen refueling stations utilize cryogenic liquid storage to deliver high-performance, fast-fill dispensing for the world's largest heavy-duty fleets and regional transit hubs.

The high-density solution for heavy-duty mobility

Direct filling hydrogen refueling station

For light and heavy duty vehicles 700 bar

Part of the liquid-to-gas series, the direct filling station can supply gaseous hydrogen at 700 bar for light and heavy-duty vehicles. By utilizing liquid hydrogen as a source and leveraging our proprietary high-pressure pump, the station's modular design accommodates various site layout and project configurations to deliver high-capacity of up to 12 trucks per hour.

Additionally a combination of our subcooled liquid hydrogen stations (see our  Liquid-to-Liquid Refueling Hydrogen Stations) and direct filling liquid-to-gas 700 bar stations is also customizable, offering a versatile solution for multi-purpose applications.

H35 modular hydrogen refueling station

For heavy-duty vehicles 350 bar

Part of the liquid-to-gas series, this modular station is tailored for heavy-duty 350 bar hydrogen vehicles. It supplies gaseous hydrogen at 350 bar using liquid hydrogen as a source. The scalable architecture with a common gaseous supply header supports up to four refueling points for simultaneous dispensing, enabling high-capacity & multi-lane parallel vehicle refueling.

Comprehensive end-to-end services

We are your long-term mobility partner. We support you at every single stage of your hydrogen energy project.

  • Engineering & installation: Our teams provide expert process design, capacity optimization, footprint planning, and full commissioning.
  • Maintenance & operations: Once operational, we guarantee high availability through predictive and preventive maintenance, technical assistance, rapid spare parts supply, and comprehensive operator training.

Maximum capacity, minimum footprint

The primary advantage of a liquid-to-gas architecture is density. Liquid hydrogen takes up significantly less space than compressed gaseous hydrogen.

By storing the molecule cryogenically at -253°C, facility operators can store vastly more energy on-site. This makes our LH2 stations the definitive choice for urban transit depots or busy highway logistics hubs where land is at an absolute premium but energy demands are exceptionally high. Fewer deliveries are required, and operational autonomy is maximized.

Advanced cryogenic pump technology

To convert liquid hydrogen to high-pressure gas efficiently, we integrate proprietary cryogenic pumping systems in our stations.

Instead of compressing a gas, the liquid-compression process is more energy-efficient than traditional gas compression, significantly lowering the electrical operating costs (OPEX) of the station while ensuring rapid, back-to-back refueling times for large vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a liquid-to-gas station work?

Liquid hydrogen is delivered by trailer and stored in a highly insulated cryogenic tank on-site. When needed, a cryogenic pump pressurizes the liquid hydrogen. It is then passed through a vaporizer, which warms it up and converts it into a high-pressure gas, ready to be dispensed swiftly into the vehicle's tanks at 350 or 700 bar.

When should I choose liquid-to-gas over gas-to-gas?

Liquid-to-gas is highly recommended when your daily hydrogen demand exceeds 1,000 kg (1 ton) per day, and when your site has strict space constraints.

Can these stations refuel 700 bar and 350 bar vehicles?

Yes. Our modular dispensing architecture allows the station to be configured with multiple nozzles, seamlessly serving heavy-duty trucks operating at 350/700 bar and passenger or light-commercial vehicles operating at 700 bar from the same central LH2 storage unit.
