Turbo-Brayton Liquefiers for Biogas
Combining safety, performance, reliability and compactness, our Turbo-Brayton cooling system is an optimal solution to convert biomethane into bioLNG, a renewable fuel for heavy mobility purposes.
When biogas is produced where it cannot be injected into the gasgrid, liquefaction is essential. Our Turbo-Brayton solution enables simple, reliable, and automated liquefaction.
Key benefits include:
- 5 years maintenance free, thanks to contact free and oil free system
- Easy installation and low footprint requirement
- Unmanned and safe design, easy to operate
- High efficiency and utility free
A scalable range for biogas liquefaction
We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Turbo-Brayton liquefiers to perfectly match the specific production rate of your biogas facilities. These standard equipment are available off-the-shelf with the following product range:
- TBL-350: 5 to 12 tons per day.
- TBL-525: 10 to 20 tons per day.
- TBL-700: 15 to 30 tons per day.
- TBL-1800: 25 to 85 tons per day.
Simple, Automatic & Easy to Install
Operating an onshore biogas plant requires equipment that maximizes yield without complicating daily operations. Air Liquide’s Turbo-Brayton technology enables simple, reliable, and fully automatic liquefaction.
The system is exceptionally easy to install and operate, behaving as a highly integrated package. Its automatic control logic seamlessly adapts to variations in biogas flow, ensuring continuous, hassle-free production without the need for constant manual intervention.
High reliability & controlled OPEX
Profitability in the biogas sector relies heavily on minimizing downtime. Built around a robust foam-insulated cold box, the TBL range is intrinsically highly reliable and requires drastically reduced maintenance.
This architecture not only guarantees maximum uptime but also ensures a strictly controlled operating cost over the lifecycle of the plant. Furthermore, our systems meet rigorous industry standards, possessing major certifications such as EC and UL for the TBL-1800 model.
Proven in the field: 8 units in operation
Air Liquide’s biogas liquefaction technology is actively driving the circular economy today. With 8 units successfully sold and currently in continuous operation, the TBL series is a proven, mature solution for liquefying and commercializing off-grid renewable energy resources worldwide.
